I want to let you know that there are customs that are observed when working with a private music teacher; one like me, a professional, who makes his livelihood through his teaching, funds his retirement, pays for private health insurance, supports a studio's rent, utilities, insurance; in short, a small business owner.


1. All lessons for a given month are scheduled and paid for at the first lesson of the month.
2. 24-hour notice is to be made for all changes students wish to make in their schedule. This includes the first lesson of the month.
3. Properly cancelled lessons will be re-scheduled or “carried over” as a credit for the next month.
